An Art Historian, she studied at the University of Rome La Sapienza under Maurizio Calvesi, Marisa Volpi Orlandini, and Augusto Gentili. She discussed her graduation thesis in Modern Art History, “Tommaso Righi. Roman Sculptor,” supervised by Prof. Orietta Rossi Pinelli, published in 2001 in “Studi sul Settecento Romano,” edited by Elisa Debenedetti. She later earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a focus on “Communication Sciences” at the University of Cassino, completing a thesis in Museum Communication titled “Communicating the Restoration of a Work of Art: the Apollo of Veii at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome,” supervised by Prof. Ivana Bruno. She has been a registered journalist since 2002 and has collaborated with several outlets, including the radio station Mondo Radio CentroItalia 90.9 as cultural editor for the daily news program “Mondo News.” She was head of the “exhibitions section” for www.culturalweb.it, the online daily newspaper of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (2002–2005). Since 2003, she has contributed with reports and reviews of exhibitions and cultural events, first for “CulturalTG,” then “TG Cinema,” both broadcast on “Canale Italia” and some SKY channels, and currently for the news agency PPN Prima Pagina News.
Since 2002, she has been involved in the organization and communication of numerous major art restoration projects for private sponsors, overseeing all organizational aspects: formalizing agreements with the Ministry, Superintendencies, and patronage institutions; coordinating all executive phases and professional figures involved; managing agreements with media partners and technical sponsors; requesting permits and museum loans; coordinating logistics and suppliers; overseeing museum and fair installations; preparing additional services such as security, reception, and bookshop; organizing press conferences, official openings, and gala evenings; designing websites for restoration projects and producing catalogues; planning creative concepts and advertising campaigns. Among the most significant restorations for which she handled all these aspects are: the “Restoration of the De Silva Chapel” by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the Church of S. Isidoro, Rome (October 2002); the “Restoration and musealization of late medieval and Renaissance ceramics” at the Castle of Giulio II in Ostia Antica (July 2003); the exhibition “The Secret Portrait” at the Accademia di San Luca, Rome (April 2004); the Restoration of the Apollo of Veii at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, Rome (July 2004); the restoration of the tondo “The Adoration of the Mystery. Fra’ Bartolomeo in the Sign of Leonardo” at the Borghese Gallery (December 2004); the organization of the “Conference on the Restoration of the Apollo of Veii” at the XII Restoration Fair (Sala Castello, Ferrara, 9 April 2005); she coordinated all organizational aspects of the documentary film “Apollo of Veii. The Restoration,” directed by Folco Quilici (April 2005), working closely with the production team and scientific consultants, and provided the outline and key elements for the screenplay; she also managed press office, communication, and post-production promotion of the film together with Maurizio Pizzuto of the Ministry, securing participation in major international festivals, including the 62nd Venice International Film Festival (2005) and the Rome Doc Festival at Palazzo Venezia (September 2006), attended by Carlo Fuscagni, Prof. Claudio Strinati, and Folco Quilici, moderated by Rubino Rubini. In February 2006, she organized a screening-event for the documentary at the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels; the “Restoration of the Medusa Bust” by Gian Lorenzo Bernini at the Capitoline Museums, Rome (November 2006); the restoration of the group “Apollo and Heracles of Veii” at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, Rome, with a press conference attended by Minister of Culture Francesco Rutelli (July 2007); the restoration of Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s Pope Urban VIII at the Capitoline Museums, Rome (December 2007); the restoration of the statue of Philip IV of Spain by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Girolamo Lucenti at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome, with an inauguration featuring Prof. Antonio Paolucci, then Director of the Vatican Museums (November 2008). As part of the “Celebrations for the 400th Anniversary of Caravaggio’s Death 1610–2010,” she organized the “Caravaggesque Evening,” a dinner-show with actors, menu, costumes, and music inspired by Caravaggio’s paintings, held at Palazzo Boncompagni Ludovisi on 18 July 2010 with the participation of the National Committee for the Celebrations of Caravaggio and Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi.
Over the years, she has organized numerous Lectio Magistralis by leading Italian artists together with the following art historians: Prof. Antonio Paolucci, Prof. Claudio Strinati, Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi, and Prof. Alberto Dambruoso.
From 2008 to 2010, she collaborated on the organization and press office of numerous exhibitions curated by Vittorio Sgarbi with Salvo Nugnes’s Promoter Arte.
Since 2010, she has managed two conference centers in Rome—“Sala di Rienzo” and “Sala da Feltre”—where she has created an exhibition space called “Open ART,” organizing and hosting exhibitions by contemporary artists. She also curates exhibitions in Italian and international galleries for artists she has discovered and follows. In 2015, at the Vittoriano Monumental Complex in Rome, she organized and handled the press office for the dual solo show Between Matter and Soul. Between Memory and Time. A.T. Anghelopoulos and Andrea Pinchi, curated by Prof. Claudio Strinati. In 2016, in Rome, together with Fabiana Roscioli, she organized Meeting & Art in Trastevere, a celebration of contemporary art in all its forms: painting, sculpture, installations, photography, dance, music, and fashion. The exhibition showcased works by A.T. Anghelopoulos, Fabiana Roscioli, Alfonso Mangoni, and sculptor Giuseppe Verri at the Hotel Roma RIPA and Open ART–Sala da Feltre. On 11 November 2016, for the international event (curated by Arch. Luca Curci) Body Spaces Humans + Hybrids – It’s Liquid Art Show Rome 2016, she coordinated the organization and communication of the live performance Megaliths XXI cent. A.D. by A.T. Anghelopoulos, choreographed by Giuseppe Meli. Among her most recent projects: in March 2017, at Bugno Art Gallery in Venice, she organized “ControCosmo – Counter Cosmos by A.T. Anghelopoulos,” publishing the exhibition catalogue with Campisano Editore; for the first edition of RAW – Rome Art Week 2016 at Open ART, she curated the solo exhibition Misalignments of the Possible by A.T. Anghelopoulos; for the second edition of RAW, she organized the exhibition “Rome in Icons” by Luca Pignatelli, presented by Prof. Alberto Dambruoso at Open ART; for the third edition of RAW 2018, she organized the exhibition Parallel Lives by Micaela Legnaioli at Open ART and the dual solo show Passages by A.T. Anghelopoulos and Micaela Legnaioli at Lords Luxury Suites, a boutique art hotel soon to open in Via del Crocifisso near St. Peter’s. In 2018, she collaborated on the organization and press office for Julien Friedler’s exhibition “Behind the World” at the Museo del Vittoriano, curated by Dominique Stella. In December 2018, she moderated the presentation of Prof. Maurizio Vanni’s book “The Museum Becomes Enterprise” (Celid) at MACRO Asilo. For the 2019 edition of RAW, she managed fundraising, organized the official opening event at Casina Valadier together with Dimensione Suono Roma, and curated the site-specific exhibition “Inner Life” with artists Anghelopoulos and Micaela Legnaioli.
