Claudio Palmieri

Claudio Palmieri, born in Rome in 1955, a pupil of the futurist painter Mino Delle Site, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. After a debut in the informal sphere, his research is oriented towards polymateric painting and sculpture and also in photographic elaborations. His work has always been characterised by experimentation and contamination of languages, culminating in sound sculpture performances in the 1990s. He has numerous permanent sculptural monuments in Italy, among others: in Rome in 1998 in Piazza Lodi; in 2008 in Trieste in the Harbour Office. In 2015 he inaugurated his solo exhibition 'NaturalMente' at the Carlo Bilotti Museum in Rome. In 2017 he took part in 'il Cammino delle Certose', Certosa di San Lorenzo, Padula (SA). In 2018, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the L'Attico gallery, he exhibited in the historical exhibition "Scorribanda" at the GNAM in Rome.

Also in 2018, important exhibition 'La luce Diversa', Museo Mattatoio Testaccio, Rome. In 2019 he is in the collective exhibition "Accidental Art" L'Attico gallery in Rome. In Summer 2019 " Vesuvio quotidiano Vesuvio contemporaneo" Certosa di san Martino di Napoli; 70° Premio Michetti, Francavilla a Mare CH ; 2019 Pagina barocca istallazione in the prestigious Biblioteca Vanvitelliana in Rome; Verso l'Aleph di Napoli" Certosa di San Martino di Napoli, the large installation exhibited will be acquired by the Museum. In 2021 he was awarded the historic Bugatti Segantini career prize with the related exhibition at Villa Bivio, Nova Milanese.
