Kou Gallery presents the launch of Ida Galati’s first book, The Secret Language of Fashion (Giunti), an exploration of the narrative power of clothing and the deep relationship between identity and style.

The author will talk with Valeria Oppenheimer, fashion reporter and TV author, in a public conversation that examines what our clothes communicate about us, how they shape our mood, and in what way they influence both our self-perception and the way others see us.

The presentation will be enriched by an immersive performance: inside the gallery, living mannequins will embody several of the style archetypes described in the book. The action takes form through the creative direction of stylist Nicole Rota and the collaboration of designers Federica Fusco, Veq Atelier, and Annalisa Queen.

It will be an event suspended between fashion, art, and storytelling, giving physical presence to all that garments reveal about us, even when we stay silent.

With a background in psychotherapy and a professional evolution into fashion storytelling, Ida Galati shows how clothing speaks before words do — influencing emotions, perception, confidence, and the courage to express oneself. Her book is an invitation to listen to what we wear and, through that, to listen anew to ourselves.

A guide to understanding the historical, psychosocial, and cultural meaning embedded in the choices that shape our everyday wardrobe.
