Claudia Pecoraro is a museologist, curator, and cultural project designer, specializing in Community Engagement, participation, and civic activation.

Since 2016, she has been responsible for the enhancement of museums, archives, and libraries for the Department of Culture and Youth Policies of the Lazio Region, where she also worked on reading promotion and contemporary art. She was part of the staff of MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome and Assistant Director of the Museum of the Suburbs for the Special Company Palaexpo. Since 2020, she has been a lecturer at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, where she teaches Video Design for Museums in the First-Level Academic Diploma in New Art Technologies.

She has collaborated on research and activities of the CNR – National Research Council dedicated to migration. She has curated exhibitions for galleries and museums, including Museo di Roma–Palazzo Braschi, Museo Umberto Mastroianni in Marino, Museo Archeologico Salinas in Palermo, and Rua Red – South Dublin Arts Centre in Dublin.

During the lockdown, together with artist Laura Mega, she created LAZZARO_art doesn’t sleep, an exhibition of international artists projected by citizens onto building facades around the world.
