Elena Piccioni (Rome, 2001) is an art historian and emerging curator, active in the fields of art-historical research, curatorship, and cultural management.
After completing her classical high school diploma, in 2024 she graduated in Historical-Artistic Studies at La Sapienza University of Rome, with a thesis dedicated to the critical reception of Pierre Bonnard, exploring the development of historical and critical interest in the artist over time. At the same time, she expanded her training with a Certificate Program in Art Management at the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability, acquiring skills in cultural management, artistic valorization, and sustainability strategies applied to the arts.
Her professional experience includes collaborations with artists and galleries, where she works as an assistant and art advisor, supporting the planning and realization of exhibitions, managing relationships with collectors and institutions, and handling communication and organizational coordination.
Since 2024, she has been actively involved in Rome Art Week (RAW), an event dedicated to contemporary art in the capital. Within the event, she is responsible for the selection of participating venues and the coordination of events connected to the official initiatives, contributing to the promotion of exhibition spaces and emerging artists.
Her interests focus on curatorship and art criticism, with particular attention to contemporary modes of art engagement, mediation between artists and audiences, and exhibition strategies capable of enhancing the dialogue between past and present.
