Born in New Delhi (India) in 1970, Micaela has lived in various European and South American countries before deciding to settle in Rome. From an early age, she showed a strong sensitivity toward the visual arts, attending courses in ceramics, sculpture, and painting. She studied at the European School of Mol and the Van der Kelen Logelain School of Decoration in Brussels, and after earning a degree in Economics and Commerce, she began working in decorative painting, later moving into the creation of jewelry with semiprecious stones and metal wire.

In 2009, after obtaining a second degree in Interior Architecture with a thesis in Scenography, she began working on renovation sites, where the idea of reusing discarded materials was born.

Her first solo exhibition took place on May 15, 2013, at L’Artothèque de Rome, titled “Revealed Flowers,” where the theme of reuse was particularly strong. As curator Isabella Vitale noted: “Resin, plaster, metal, various fabrics, paper, and plastic are consciously assimilated and then organized aesthetically, giving life to works that express a new meaning. One can give (new) life to what apparently no longer has any.”

Her solo exhibition “The Game of Feelings” was held on June 19, 2014, at Galleria Vittoria, where an engaging exchange took place between the artist and the audience. Curator Sabine Oberti explained: “The artist delves into the intimate, the deepest part of being, reaffirming the strength of feeling at the heart of humanity. Feelings, positive or negative — nothing is imposed by the artist, everything is merely suggested...”
