Primarosa Cesarini Sforza comes from a family of artists (Cesarini Sforza, Canevari, Cascella), was born in Bologna, and lives and works in Rome, with periods abroad. She graduated as an art teacher at the Istituto d'Arte in Rome under Michelangelo Conte.

She moved to the United States in 1966, where she lived for many years, working as an assistant to several New York artists and beginning her artistic career at a young age with a solo exhibition at the Allan Stone Gallery.

She has exhibited her works in numerous solo exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, including Rome, New York, Paris, Tangier, Madrid, Cologne, Lisbon, Cairo, Istanbul, Bilbao, and Buenos Aires.

She has participated in various national and international events such as ARCO Madrid, Arte Fiera Bologna, Basil Art Fair, Paris Beaubourg, Stockholm Art Fair, Découverte Paris, Florence Fair, RipArte Rome, Biennale del Libro d’artista Cassino, Artissima Turin, Salon d’Art Contemporain de Montrouge, Moussem Culturel d’Asilah (Morocco), Chicago Art Fair, First Sharjah Biennale (Dubai), First International Art Festival of Amman (Jordan), Premio Michetti (Italy).

Her works have also been shown in exhibitions including Arte/architettura/città (Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome), Art for All (Complesso San Salvatore in Lauro, Rome), Il luogo dei luoghi (Società Geografica di Roma), Lavori in corso-1999 (MACRO Rome; work acquired by the museum), Carte 7 (Niavaran Foundation, Tehran, and Italian Embassy, New Delhi), National Review of Artist Books (Foggia), Biennale delle Arti del Mediterraneo (Salerno), University of Cologne and Kholn Art Salon (Germany), Vigadò Gallery (Budapest), Dogus University (Istanbul), Casa dell’Architettura (Bilbao).
