nfrAZIONI, curated by PAR – Performance Art Rome, is an event dedicated to contemporary Performance Art, a field in which the body, gesture, and presence become critical tools capable of shaping both individual and collective perception. The project brings together actions that confront urgent issues of our time through direct, radical, and highly current languages.
This edition presents two performances that address essential and pressing themes.
Caùl, with Burying the Threat, reflects on consumerism as a continuous and pervasive menace to the environment. Through a ritual gesture combining weight, matter, and symbol, the artist investigates the destructive relationship between production, waste, and individual responsibility, urging us to acknowledge what society tends to bury: the consequences of our choices.
Daniela Beltrani presents aibrepuS, a performance that explores the theme of appearance, central in today’s social-media-driven culture. Beltrani examines the distance between lived identity and displayed identity, between surface and depth, highlighting how the culture of visibility shapes behaviours, desires, and relationships. The body becomes a site of tension, mirror and fragment, where the performativity of the image both manifests and fractures.
infrAZIONI sets two complementary perspectives in dialogue: the weight of the actions we impose on the world and the weight of the images we construct of ourselves. Two forms of pressure, risk, and resistance.
An opportunity to observe, through Performance Art, what breaks, reveals itself, and transforms — infraction after infraction.
