Fabrizio Pizzuto is a Sicilian writer, exhibition curator, and art critic. He graduated in Humanities with a focus on Contemporary Art History at La Sapienza University of Rome, and specialized in Contemporary Art History at the School of Specialization in Siena, directed by Enrico Crispolti, with a thesis developed after a residency in Paris at the Cité des Arts for Incontri Internazionali d'Arte in 2006.
He currently manages the online art criticism platform Pensiero Meridiano, the Antonello Bulgini Archive, and the communication company FoolOptional srls. He also collaborates with the itinerant project-space Le Stazioni Contemporary Art in Milan and with the exhibition space KOU Gallery in Rome.
In 2018, he also co-created the itinerant project 10 little indians, which selects each year 5 artists and 5 critics under 30 from the international scene.
He co-founded and managed the space Condotto C in Rome (2008–2010), and actively collaborated with numerous Italian galleries, including Edieuropa in Rome and Fuori Campo in Siena. He has participated in many artistic events in Italy and abroad, including Videoakt – Video Art Biennial of Barcelona, Spain (formerly LOOP), and Abstracta 2012 – International Abstract Film Festival. He has collaborated with the Romanian Academy in Rome, the Embassy of Brazil, and has curated exhibitions and written texts for galleries and art spaces in Italy and abroad, including Chicago, Berlin, and Havana, Cuba. He has published writings in numerous catalogues, including an experimental text in the collection Reef (Roma Europa Fake Festival) 2010 by Derive Approdi, with a preface by Bruce Sterling.
He lives and works in Rome. Sometimes he is even traceable.
