Claudio Palmieri, born in Rome in 1955, was a student of the Futurist painter Mino Delle Site and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. After an initial informal approach, his research focused on polymaterial painting and sculpture as well as photographic elaborations. His work has always been characterized by experimentation and cross-pollination of languages, culminating in the 1990s with sound sculptor performances. In 2017 participated in "Il Cammino delle Certose," Certosa di San Lorenzo, Padula (SA). In 2018, for the 60th anniversary of the gallery L’Attico, participated in the historic exhibition "Scorribanda" at GNAM, Rome.
Also in 2018, important exhibition “La Luce Diversa,” Museo Mattatoio Testaccio, Rome. In 2019 participated in the group show “Arte Accidentata,” Gallery L’Attico, Rome. Summer 2019: “Vesuvio quotidiano Vesuvio contemporaneo,” Certosa di San Martino, Naples; 70th Michetti Prize, Francavilla a Mare CH; 2019 Baroque Page installation at the prestigious Biblioteca Vanvitelliana, Rome; “Verso l’Aleph di Napoli,” Certosa di San Martino, Naples, the large installation was acquired by the Museum. In 2021 awarded the historic lifetime achievement Bugatti Segantini Prize with related exhibition at Villa Bivio, Nova Milanese. In September 2021, realized a large travertine installation for the Sculpture in the Field park, “Sentiero.” 2023, “Twelve Phantasmagoric Painters,” Gallery L’Attico, Rome.
