Lilyana Karadjova is a photographer and professor of photography at the New Bulgarian University and a lecturer at the National Academy of Arts, Bulgaria.
Her research interests focus on the History of Photography and Contemporary Art.
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
She interprets the complexity of photography through historical references, merging ancient printing techniques with contemporary approaches and technologies.
Lilyana Karadjova was nominated at the VII Jeux de la Francophonie in Nice, France, in 2013 and won first place in the UBA competition for a residency at the Cité des Arts, Paris, in 2020.
