Iginio de Luca

Born in Formia on 21 August 1966. He lives in Rome and Turin, where he teaches Decoration and Multimedia Installations at the Accademia Albertina delle Belle Arti. He is a multifaceted artist; he is a musician, an actor and a visual artist. He makes videos, installations and performances. In recent years, his poetics have focused mainly on the production of videos and photographic images, but also on what he calls blitzes. Considering them to straddle the line between urban art and performance, the artist sometimes performs actions by flying over, others by projecting and escaping, and still others by arriving in places with elements of strong disturbance and visual impact. Although he works in many fields, in Iginio de Luca's poetics we can recognise a very intense unity. The artist has held several solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
